On February 12, 2026, representatives of the Executive Office under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Science and Education, and several higher education institutions, as well as the JICA Representative Office in Tajikistan, visited the Uzbek-Japan Innovation Center of Youth (Center) at the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov.

During the meeting, the delegation members expressed great interest in the information provided about the Center's work, including established international and local cooperation, long-term and short-term educational programs organized at leading Japan universities using a selection system for young scientists, and international, joint, and local projects implemented jointly with prestigious higher education institutions and research institutes.

Detailed answers were given to questions on various topics. At the same time, with the aim of establishing large-scale cooperation, discussions were held on the exchange of experience, the organization of short- and long-term internships and training courses, and the joint implementation of new international projects.

Furthermore, the delegation members were given a detailed tour of the Center's scientific laboratories, their modern equipment and capabilities, and the ongoing research projects. As a result, the parties reached a preliminary agreement to establish promising future cooperation.
