On February 19 of this year, another scientific seminar was organized at the Uzbek-Japan Innovation Center of Youth at the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov as part of the international project “SATREPS-H2Uz”. The seminar was conducted by Professor Keiko Sasaki, a leading specialist from Waseda University, Japan, on the topic “Photocatalysis processes and modern scientific and technological approaches to deep processing of mineral waste”.

During the seminar, the professor provided scientific substantiation and highlighted the important role of photocatalytic technologies in environmental protection, innovative methods for efficient processing of industrial and household waste, as well as promising directions for obtaining high-value-added functional materials based on mineral waste.

The center’s scientific staff, researchers, doctoral students, and basic doctoral candidates actively participated in the seminar, exchanging views on implementing advanced waste processing technologies, expanding laboratory research and strengthening cooperation in research work on the topic.

At the end of the seminar, the professor provided comprehensive answers to the participants' questions and promising proposals aimed at developing joint scientific research, analytical work, and academic exchange were put forward.
