REGULAR SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR WITH JAPANESE EKSPERT AS PART OF THE “SATREPS-H2Uz” INTERNATIONAL PROJECT

On May 18, 2026, a scientific seminar was held at the Uzbek-Japan Innovation Center of Youth (the Center) of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov. The seminar was organized with the participation of Professor Yu. Sugai from Kyushu University as part of the “SATREPS-H2Uz” international project, titled “Creation of Hydrogen Energy in the Republic of Uzbekistan Using Innovative Technologies”, which runs from 2024 to 2029 and is implemented through the “SATREPS” international fund of the Government of Japan.

The seminar was attended by young researchers and doctoral students from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, as well as researchers and laboratory assistants from the Center. During the seminar, Prof. Yu. Sugai and B. Daniyarov, head of the Center’s “Mining and Deep Processing of Mineral Raw Materials” laboratory, gave a presentation to the audience about hydrogen energy production in Uzbekistan, innovative production technologies, and the project’s completed and ongoing processes.

Throughout the seminar, detailed answers were given to participants’ questions about the information presented, the planned stages of the project, and the prospects for its successful completion. Positive opinions were also expressed regarding the project’s future.
