On 20th February 2025, a joint symposium on innovative technology for a sustainable future: connecting research in Japan and Uzbekistan was held at the Tashkent State Institute of Technology.
This symposium was jointly organised by Nagaoka University of Technology, Tashkent State Institute of Technology and the Uzbekistan-Japan Youth Innovation Centre.
The joint symposium was held to create a platform for Japanese and Uzbek researchers interested in interdisciplinary research in the fields of mechanical engineering, biotechnology, environmental engineering, metallurgy and materials science.
At the symposium, seven professors from Nagaoka University of Technology participated, both in person and online, and introduced the research and activities of their respective laboratories. In addition, six professors from the Tashkent State University of Technology participated and gave presentations on their latest research.
By holding joint symposiums like this, UJICY will continue to promote exchange and provide opportunities to find future international joint research partners.
