A SEMINAR WAS ORGANIZED WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF WELL-KNOWN FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC SCIENTISTS OF THE MINING INDUSTRY

On September 25 of this year, an international seminar on “Resource sustainability on the way to carbon neutrality” was held at the Uzbek-Japanese Youth Innovation Center at Tashkent State Technical University.

It was attended by well-known scientists from Uzbekistan, Japan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan working in the mining industry, as well as their students.

The event is organized on the basis of the "Core-to-core" program of the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (CSPS), the main purpose of which is aimed at uniting research institutions in the field of mineral processing with one goal, the development of waste-free technologies and the creation of technologies aimed at reducing the amount of carbon dioxide.

This program, led by Professor Atsushi Shibayama of Akita University, was first organized in Uzbekistan, which means that the developments of Uzbek scientists have their place on a global scale.

The seminar discussed scientific conclusions and proposals for solving the problems of training qualified personnel in the field of geology, mining, processing of mineral raw materials and metallurgical industry, assessing the possibilities of their use, discussed advanced foreign technologies and innovative developments.

Also, according to the program of the event, the seminar participants got acquainted with Almalyk HMK JSC, Angren Pipe Plant and Angren coal deposit, where preliminary agreements were reached on mutual cooperation to solve promising developments.
