Professors Sugai and Miki from the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Earth Resources Engineering, along with their laboratory students, visited our center on the 26th of August. Our staff were sent to Kyushu University to engage in collaborative research. During this visit, we discussed the SATREPS program for hydrogen energy, which is a joint research between Kyushu University and UJICY. Additionally, students will participate in a 2-week study tour to visit companies and research centers associated with UJICY and JICA.
In this session, JICA expert Yanagida introduced the SATREPS program, and JICA expert Nargiza introduced our center and activities. Following them, Mr. Yamana who is a JICA volunteer spoke to the students about his experience in Uzbekistan. In addition, Ms. Kohara explained the energy conservation program that trained public school teachers last winter. Some of the students were visiting Uzbekistan for the first time, and they were interested in finding out about the characteristics of the people of Uzbekistan.
