A panel discussion on Sharing secrets of studying abroad was hold at Uzbek-Japan Innovation Center of Youth on November 29th as part of a joint project with Tashkent State Technical University on Women Empowerment. The discussion was facilitated by UJICY Director - Dr.Nargiza Amirova and provided students with an opportunity to hear about a life-changing experience of two outstanding speakers: Ms.Tamila Kurbanova – a successful Wharton Alumni, an equity sales professional in Wall street, Dubai and the Co-Founder of Twelve Starts Capital, and Ms.Vanessa Ozawa – PhD Candidate at Nazarbayev University, who received MA in Education and International development at the University College of London and MA in Didactics of French at Universite Bordeaux Montaigne in France. The students asked panelists a number of questions and learnt about the challenges during studying abroad, advises for learning English as well as some tips for an effective time management, the importance of self-confidence and keeping the balance in life.
The event had a huge success and motivated students to challenge themselves, explore opportunities, make connections and, of course, keep up a great work learning English.
