UJICY and Kyushu University visited National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek (NUU) to further enhance collaboration.
The three institutions: UJICY, NUU and Kyushu University agreed to continue student exchange and joint research in the future. Graduates from NUU are already working at our center UJICY as researchers, and there are also talented young people who have been sent to Japan and Kyushu University. Kyushu University has 18 graduate schools and also accepts around 1,800 international students. Furthermore, as Kyushu University and NUU have faculties that research the same fields, such as geology, it is expected that there will be more student exchange and joint research in the future.
After the meeting, professors gave us a tour of the university and explained about the museum.
The museum displays fossils and minerals, which are open to students and the public. The fossils and other exhibits could be taken in hand, and the professor and students were looking at the exhibits with great interest.
