Today on 4th of December 2023, UJICY held an international symposium “Japanese technology, system and innovation for resilient Urban Development”. This symposium was organized jointly with the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Uzbekistan, JICA and UJICY.
UJICY welcomed experienced experts from Japan, such as professor Dr. Akira Hosoda from Institute of Urban Innovation Yokohama National University and senior advisor Dr. Toshiaki Yokoi from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
During the symposium, participants such as Dr. Tatsuya Azuhata and Dr. Bunichiro Shibazaki from Building Research Institute of Japan, also participated in the discussion by zoom and introduced about Human Resources Development program.
Since Japan had lot of big earthquakes in the past, Japanese experts have deep knowledge about this related issue, and it was a good opportunity to discuss prosperous and resilient urban development in Uzbekistan.
