UJICY Members Visit Uzmetkombinat

On February 21, UJICY members and experts visited Uzmetkombinat together with Nagaoka University of Technology  in Japan and Tashkent State University of Technology.

UJICY, Nagaoka University of Technology, and Tashkent State University of Technology have been cooperating with each other through joint research and joint symposiums.

The purpose of the visit was to learn more about the activities of the Metallurgical Science Center and to discuss future directions of cooperation, given the long-standing cooperation between UJICY and Uzmetkombina. In addition, the purpose of the visit was to introduce Uzmetkombina to researchers of the Nagaoka University of Technology in Japan and to exchange views with representatives of various fields.

At the beginning of the visit, Uzmetkombinat and its history were introduced, followed by guidance on technical and industrial safety regulations. During the visit, the production processes of the “Electric Furnace Steel Melting Department”, the production processes of the “Rolling Department”, and the operating processes of the equipment were presented. At the end of the visit, presentations were made and opinions exchanged on the aims and objectives of the activities of the Metallurgical Science Center, the projects carried out, and the problems encountered.

Researchers from Nagaoka University of Technology discussed their own university's research activities in the field of metallurgy and future programs.

UJICY will not only promote its own scientific research, but also deepen cooperation between industry and science to solve problems.
